Synopsis

Resilience tells the story of FDNY members who responded on September 11, 2001, survived to treat and search tirelessly for their brothers and the thousands lost, and now face lasting impacts of their service and sacrifice in the wake of 9/11. Twenty-five years later, through the FDNY’s patient members, their loved ones, and the doctors and advocates, the film reveals the Department’s ongoing fight for care, recognition, and support for those living with 9/11 related illness. Above all, Resilience is a story of hope. It is about courage in the face of illness, perseverance through unimaginable challenges, and the enduring promise to never forget those who answered the call.
