Experience has shown when agency heads stay within arm’s distance of each other at the Command Post, overall operations run much more smoothly.

A key element for deploying resources is the establishment of a unified Command Post. In order for a comprehensive and uniform plan to be developed, all of the command elements must be co-allocated.

By being in proximity, leaders are aware of each other’s issues and develop a common plan, leading to a more efficient operation.
