2016 marks an important milestone for the FDNY as the Department celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the merger with EMS. To help usher in this historic year, the Department is pleased to announce the creation of FDNY ProEMS, a new subscription-based training journal. Like WNYF, which has published since 1940, the Department will tap its EMS members to contribute to this journal.
Subject matter will include incidents from which there are lessons learned/reinforced; new equipment/apparatus/tools/procedures; training; management/leadership theory—just about anything of interest to the EMT, Paramedic or EMS Officer that will help him/her do the job more effectively, efficiently and safely.
The first issue of FDNY ProEMS will be released in March of 2016. Stay tuned!
